Thank You!) SPECIAL: TODAY: Sunday February 28, 2010 • A Program called “Network”. Want to learn what your 'Spiritual Gifts' are and how you are best suited to serve as a Christian in your church and in the world around you? This course will be offered through March and April every Friday evening (except April 2nd - Good Friday) at the church. The time is 6:30 - 8:00 PM. It will include teaching, discussion in small groups, some reading on your own, giving friends a questionnaire about yourself, your serious interests, gifts and work style. Please plan to attend all of the sessions as each builds upon what has gone before. Only ten places are available. The cost is $ 15 for materials. You will not be the same after taking this course! Leading this course: Joseph DeCosta and Richard Peck Please speak with one of them before March 1st if you wish to take part. • Signup s continue for the Men’s Iron Sharpens Iron Conference on April 10th. The cost is $47 which includes lunch. Checks can be made out to SCC and given to Duncan Honig. • There will be a Spaghetti Supper on Friday February 26th, 4:00-7:00 pm at the North Adams American Legion, to benefit mailman Jeff Burdick. Adults $10.00, kids under 12, $3.00 • Basic Christian Growth classes will be held every Wednesday night at 6:30 pm at SCC. Childcare will be provided. This is a very useful course for new Christians, but believers of all levels of maturity can benefit from attending. • David Bushika is in need of transportation from time to time. If you can help with this, please call him at 694-9116 or 1-207-450-7019. • The Louison House is still quite happy to accept any Big Y coins that are available to them. There is a blue container on the shelf in the BOUTIQUE for these coins. Thanks! • The 2nd Stamford Community Church Auction is now being planned for April. We are in need of donations such as handmade items, new or used items (in good condition), that can be auctioned off. Once again Milt has agreed to work with Mary Jones as auctioneer. All proceeds will benefit the Construction of the Pavilion. Please see or call Mary Jones with any questions 663-9506. |
